| Notkin Hawaii Inc. has been founded on values of skilled and adaptive service. Two prior generations of ownership have practiced engineering "the Notkin Way", and have lead to our success today. James B. Notkin and Associates was formed in Seattle in 1951. In 1966, his nephew, Benjamin S. Notkin assumed leadership of the firm, renaming it to Benjamin S. Notkin and Associates. In 1981, Ben moved to Hawaii to form a small branch office in Honolulu. In 1982 the Hawaii office hired their first local mechanical engineer, Keith M. Chan. In 1984, Benjamin S. Notkin & Associates was incorporated in Hawaii, becoming a separate entity with no affiliation to the Seattle Office, which also retains the Notkin name. Keith M. Chan, PE has lead the firm since 1994. This Hawaii based firm, Notkin Hawaii Inc., has thrived in applying "the Notkin Way" to Hawaii. |
