This project involved heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing system designs for a six-story, 260,000 square-foot facility. The $78 million facility includes special administrative areas within sensitive compartmentalized information facilities (SCIF’s), a telecommunications center, private dining rooms, and an electronic and communications maintenance area. Notkin Hawaii Inc. designed high-efficiency centrifugal chillers with heat recovery, insulated wall and roof systems, and an advanced direct digital control system, which monitors consumption of utilities such as air conditioning, lighting, fuel oil, electronic equipment power, and hot/cold water. |
