| Estimated at 6.5 million dollars, the new Ewa Beach Fire Station was built to replace the old and aging existing fire station on Pohakupuna road in Ewa Beach. This 12,000 square foot facility includes individual sleeping areas, modern kitchen facility, conference room, storage rooms and laundry area. With more residential and commercial development being built in this secondary urban center, the new fire station has been moved into the heart of Ewa Beach. Notkin Hawaii Inc. provided the Mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. This project has obtained LEED (silver) certification. |
